Introduction

This project has been a labor of love. Started with a friend, this work together continued for several years in the early 1990s. (Over and above our day jobs.) We were both awed and grateful for the material shared. My friend was intuitive and held degrees in social work and counseling but was not a channel. She put time and effort into researching the Earth lives of some of the people, and I on channeling their life-after-death stories. Neither of us knew all the contributors. As the channeler, I felt increasingly that most of them did not need the world to know about their life on Earth as much as they wanted people to understand their life in the spirit world. Ultimately, I felt they wanted to ensure their stories focused on their time in the afterlife. Through our discussions, we concluded that this project wasn’t “our” book at all! It is very much “their” book.

We followed their lead. She stopped researching, and for quite some time, I slowed down on receiving. But without her loving push and encouragement, not to mention the richness of conversations we had upon reading their accounts, the project stopped—for a number of years! Yet, every time I was energized enough to dust off one of their stories and reread it, they faithfully came and gave more of their story.

More of their accounts came in additions they made! Many added points and further stories about life in the spirit world. Once I finally dropped a great many of my own religious beliefs and viewpoints, they had the freedom to bring forth many more eye-opening and jaw-dropping points of Life On Their Side. Had we rushed to work on publishing, it would have been a very different collection of stories. As a medium, I grew. As a writer/editor, I developed. As a spiritual being having my physical encounter on Earth, I further experienced life with new eyes! Today, our world has a great many more spiritually-minded individuals, especially those seeking mindfulness and consciousness, and is poised for a greater understanding of life after this life.

I apologize to each StoryTeller for putting this book on hold for as long as I did. I was afraid. I am a pretty introverted person who shies away from confrontation, and I did not think I could handle the flack I imagined would come from some of this (then) new information.

The courage it has taken me to embrace my fears surrounding others’ beliefs about what is presented is part of my life lessons! I just need to get out of their way and let the stories shine.

May you find inner illumining through The StoryTellers, The WisdomTeachers, and My Friend—in Life and the Afterlife.

*Individualized faith capsule is a term my guide, Percivel, used in a message he gave my friend Kem (through channeling) probably ten or so years prior to Kem’s passing. It signifies that even though many people identify with a certain religion or spiritual belief, no two people believe exactly the same thing. Each has their own individualized version and faith because their human experience is uniquely their own.

The StoryTellers appeared to a friend and me (mostly one by one), introducing themselves at a (literal) roundtable discussion (which I saw clairvoyantly)—much like a Board of Directors meeting. Some were known to us. Others were not. A few are well-known. Most are not. But each had a story to tell about their death and transition to the spirit world. These materials were received starting in 1993-1995. By that “meeting,” I had received some snatches of information from many of them. One by one, their names (sometimes just first names) and some details of their lives in the afterlife were revealed by the 13 people who comprise The StoryTellers group. They indicated they were working together to bring humanity a section of what life is like on the other side of the Veil.

More information began coming regularly. My friend even “interviewed” the contributor Michael, who spoke through me. As we both read the material, we were puzzled as we could not find a common thread or strong connection between all their stories. In fact, to us, their stories did not seem to have much in common at all. We wondered what the connection was between them since it wasn’t apparent. Not long after, I was given the answer! Their unified voices told us it was not what they had in common that urged them to bring their stories of “Life on Their Side” through channeling, but rather the differences.

Each one had a unique story, starting with a description of their journey to the spirit world and the interests and “vocations” that suited them there—whether or not it was their career path on Earth. They wanted to convey the details of how varied the choices of life paths in the afterlife are and what amazing things people on Earth have to look forward to.

The gamut of their stories can give readers a broader picture of life in the spirit lands. This website includes a small portion of each story, but their entire stories offer so much more information. A great deal is revealed from their words and the experiences they share about what they are doing in life “On Their Side.”
